Become an ASPIRE Cohort Study Ambassador

The ASPIRE Ambassador program is a volunteer opportunity to get involved in your community! As an ambassador, you will promote and help advocate for Asian Americans to participate in the ASPIRE Cohort Study. ASPIRE Ambassadors are key in communication and outreach efforts to the Asian American community. Participating as an ASPIRE Ambassador will help to increase representation, leading to improved health outcomes for Asian Americans.

What will I do?

You will actively promote, share, and help advocate for Asian Americans to participate in the research.

Roles/Responsibilities: 

  • Attend an information session and complete required trainings.
  • Promote ASPIRE to Asian American communities which may include connecting with organizations, participating in tabling events or online engagement.  
  • Conduct monthly outreach efforts and report back on progress.
  • Commit to a minimum of 4 hours / month to your ambassadorship.  
  • Meet with ASPIRE staff for online monthly check-ins.

 

 

What will I gain?

As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to build connections within the community by helping to organize and participate in events, workshops, and educational initiatives that raise awareness about cancer risks in Asian Americans. ASPIRE Ambassadors will also have the chance to develop valuable skills in community outreach, research, and teamwork.
